What materials are used in the necklace satchel?
The Centered Necklace Satchel is made using a blend of cotton-linen fabric, rayon / acrylic cording, and plastic breakaway clasp, with a silicone chew bead. The liner is food-safe and waterproof polyester and polyurethane. Riggbee seeks to use the best materials available for the functional and fashionable products in its portfolio, and seeks to do so in a responsible and sustainable way. Materials are from trusted global sources and the final product is made by a small business in North Carolina.
Why don’t you say “phthalate or BPS free”?
Riggbee is very proud that its Calm Clip Bracelet and Centered Necklace Satchel have been tested by a nationally recognized laboratory and found to be CPSC compliant. They have also been tested to California Proposition 65 standards and have passed. Our research partners indicate that to say phthalate free is not exactly accurate for any product, since phthalates occur naturally in many materials. So, we left it off our marketing, but we do not use products that contain added phthalates nor do we add phthalates in our manufacturing processes. Please see below for more details of testing results.
What certifications do you have?
Riggbee is a brand of Fathom First LLC. It has tested its Calm Plip Bracelet and Centered Necklace Satchel by a nationally recognized and certified laboratory and found to be Consumer Product Safety Commission compliant. Products have met the following requirements:
- The mechanical hazards requirements of 16 CFR 1500. “Federal Hazardous Substances Act Regulations”. - The flammability requirements of 16 CFR 1500.3(c)(6)(vi). “Flammable solid” (FHSA Regulations).

- The total lead content requirements in children products according to the California Proposition 65 settlements of Alameda Superior Court RG 07356892.

- The tracking label requirement of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) of 2008 section 103 Tracking Labels for Children's Products.
All that said, we want to be extremely clear about the WARNING that we place on every Riggbee satchel and bracelet product web page and every package: This is not a toy. Inspect before each use and discard if damaged. Do not use without adult supervision. Do not allow use when child is sleeping or in a crib, playpen, or bed. Strangulation hazard – do not tie around child’s neck.
How do I clean my pacifier clip bracelet or necklace satchel?
Machine or hand wash, and lay flat to dry. Since the fabric is meant to be textured, ironing should not be necessary, but if you desire, you may use an iron with light heat. You can pull out the interior lining of the satchel if desired when washing and drying, and you must pull it out if ironing the exterior (do not iron the interior lining). It is attached to the exterior shell only at the top, for this purpose.
Can I use a different lanyard with my necklace satchel?
Since the lanyard is part of the cinching closure design, you can not detach it from the satchel. However, you may add another lanyard, and you can tuck the original lanyard inside the pouch if desired. You may also use the belt loop to attach lanyards, hooks, clips, or other connections.
How do I clean my leather journal cover?
If you take care of your journal cover, it will serve you for life, ready to be passed to the next generation. We recommend a dry rag and liquid saddle soap, every 3 – 4 months.
The journal cover marketing indicates it is guaranteed for life. Can you tell me more?
Riggbee warrants its journal covers against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. Our warranty does not cover any damage caused by neglect, improper care, accident, or normal wear and tear. If your product fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace it, at our discretion, with the exception of journal elastic. To see how to replace elastic cord, please see the following question.
How do I change the elastic cord on my leather journal cover?
Elastic cord will eventually lose its pliability, or you may prefer a different color. We recommend consulting a leather worker, jeweler or shoe repair professional who has ability to remove the existing cord and thread in the desired cord the same fashion, through the perforations in the leather and riveted reinforcement tabs.
